Getting Started as an Instructor on WeSchool
As an Instructor, you will have the permissions to organize educational paths within the Group. Here are the first actions we suggest you take to set up training activities:
-
CREATE YOUR LEARNING COMMUNITY 👩🏫
Now that you are registered on WeSchool, it's time to create your learning community!
You can do this by creating a Group, a collaborative workspace where you can share multimedia resources (images, videos, links, resources from Cloud platforms, and much more) and interact in social learning environments like the Wall or privately through the Chat of WeSchool.
Only Instructors that have been authorized by the Admin can create new Groups within the Space. If you are unable to create new learning communities, please reach out to the Admin and ask to check the permissions in the Staff section of the Dashboard.
Each learning community is highly customizable according to your needs and allows you to have an overview of all Group members.
-
INVITE LEARNERS AND INSTRUCTORS TO THE COMMUNITY 📩
It's time to populate your community! You can invite both Learners and Instructors to join a Group through:
Unlike Learners, Instructors can only be invited to a Group through an email invitation.
-
WELCOME NEW COMMUNITY MEMBERS 🗣️
It's time to welcome other community members!
You can chat, exchange opinions with other Group members, publish Posts and Comments, and attach files starting from the Wall, the Group's virtual bulletin board.
First, write a welcome message via a Post on the Wall summarizing the Group's goals and objectives and pin it to the top so that it's visible to all community members.
Besides commenting within the Wall, you can add reactions to Posts and Comments from other users using WeSchool's Emojis.
-
CREATE YOUR FIRST MODULE 📖
Within a community, you can design training courses starting from the Modules section. Here, you will have several tools to:
- create Modules from scratch to tailor content to the learning needs of community members
- import Modules from other communities to speed up the migration of previously uploaded content
- simplify course design with Artificial Intelligence
You can customize each Module by choosing whether to make it mandatory or optional or by setting prerequisites.
You can monitor Learners’ progress within individual Modules directly from the community's Record section.
-
ASSESS LEARNERS’ KNOWLEDGE 🔍
Within a community, you can assess Learners’ knowledge starting from the Assessments section. Here, you will have several tools to:
- test their preparation level based on Exercises designed for self-assessment
- create tailored exams like Tests to meet specific learning or training objectives
In both Exercises and Tests, you can choose from a wide range of questions (both open-answer and multiple-choice) to best structure these types of Assessments.
You can monitor Learners’ progress related to Exercises or Tests directly from the community's Record section.
