How to create the Space for your business

In this tutorial, you can learn how to create a Space for your company or business.

A Space is a private and highly customizable environment that you can use to organize training programs for employees or colleagues through WeSchool’s learning communities.

Here are some practical examples to make the most of the main features of the Space:

  • if you are a Training Manager, you can organize training activities, foster the growth of your employees, and measure the impact and quality of your onboarding programs using advanced management tools
  • if you are an Instructional Designer, you can bring your training courses online, thus opening your learning community to Learners
  • if you are a Team Leader, you can encourage collaboration and share the latest updates on current trends using WeSchool’s interactive tools

How to create your first Space

  • To create your first Space, you must sign up for WeSchool: you can do this from the registration page by entering your personal data and confirming your account.
    If you don’t know how, you can follow this tutorial to register your account on WeSchool.

    After completing the registration, you will be guided through the process of creating the Space for your business.

    To start, select Business or private sector and click on the Proceed button:

  • Fill out the form

    Next, fill out the form by providing:

    • the full name of your company
    • the size of the company: select the number of employees who work with you from the dropdown menu, or choose 1 if you are a freelancer
    • your role within your team
    • the activities you plan to use WeSchool for
    • your phone number or your company’s phone number

    Filling out this form will help our Team create an effective and tailored onboarding experience for you.

    After completing all fields, click on Next: create a Space.

  • Customize your Space

    Now, set up the Space for your company as follows:

    • upload the company logo in JPEG or PNG format, not exceeding 50 MB by clicking the pencil icon
    • enter the name you want to assign to the Space
    • customize the URL, which is the link that identifies the Space, by typing the name of the Space after the hash (#)

    To proceed, click on Next: create a Group:

  • Create your Group

    A Group is a collaborative workspace where you can organize training programs, interact with colleagues on the Wall, and upload learning materials for your courses.

    Next, customize the Group in three simple steps:

    • upload the Group cover in JPEG or PNG format, not exceeding 50 MB by clicking the pencil icon 
    • enter the name you want to assign to your company Group.
    • add a description of the Group summarizing its main objectives or outlining the activities and projects that will be covered

    Make sure you have entered the Group name before clicking on Next: invite co-workers:

  • Invite your colleagues

    Finally, enter your co-workers’ email addresses separated by a comma or space, and click on Invite. This will send them an email through which they can join the Group as Instructors. 

    If you do not want to invite your colleagues to join the Group at this moment, you can click on Skip this step and do it later:

    As Instructors, both the employees and colleagues you invited will have all the necessary permissions to create new content and manage the Group and its activities.

  • Start the Free Trial

    After creating the Space for your company and your first Group, you will automatically start the 14-day Free Trial:

How to create a new Space

If you have already registered your account on WeSchool, you can follow these steps to create the Space dedicated to your company or business.

  • Add a Space

    In any Space you are in, click on the Space icon in the top left corner and select + Add a Space from the dropdown menu:

  • Customize your Space

    Now, set up the Space for your company as follows:

    • upload the company logo in JPEG or PNG format, not exceeding 50 MB by clicking the pencil icon
    • enter the name you want to assign to the Space
    • customize the URL, which is the link that identifies the Space, by typing the name of the Space after the hash (#)

    To proceed, click on Next:

  • Start the Free Trial

    After creating the Space for your company and your first Group, you will automatically start the 14-day Free Trial:
